The first workshop for young top talents in Hubei province has started. The final list of the workshop was determined after the application and recommendation, preliminary examination, panel review, oral defense, and final validation, and 4 CUG young teachers (WEI Zhouchao from the School of Mathematics and Science, ZHOU Keqing from the School of Engineering, GE Jian from the School of Automation, and JIN Gui from the School of Economics and Management) were on the list, becoming the first batch of young top talents of Hubei province.
The “Hubei Young Top Talents Training Program” is a major provincial talent project specially for local young talents, aiming to further enlarge the team of high-level talents in Hubei province by selecting a number of outstanding young talents with strong professional abilities, enough innovation and vitality, and large growth space, and giving support to them. A term of the program is 3 years, and the selected talents can get financial support every year during the term, which is 200,000 yuan per year per person in natural science, 100,000 yuan per year per person in social science, and 200,000 yuan per year per person in industry (100,000 yuan per year per person for highly skilled talents). By 2025, Hubei province will train a total of about 500 young top talents who will make up a talent pool for various fields of Hubei province.
