The 2021 Meteorological Science and Technology Week was launched in Wuhan Museum of Science and Technology on May 22 and 23. It was organized by China Meteorological Administration, the Ministry of Science and Technology, China Association for Science and Technology, and Hubei Provincial Government, undertaken by Hubei Meteorological Service and CUG.
Representatives from the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, School of Environmental Studies at the main venue displayed the achievements of their department. They also communicated with their counterparts from Nanjing University, Ocean University of China, Lanzhou University, and Chengdu University of Information Technology.
The activities took place in the sub-venue on the Future City Campus on the afternoon of May 22.
LIU Jie, Vice President of CUG introduced CUG’s development and future strategies. Prof. LI Shuanglin, Director of the Department of Atmospheric Sciences talked about the education the department provided.
The leaders of national meteorological departments and experts went to the exhibition to showcase the progress of government-university cooperation in atmospheric sciences.
