On Tuesday, June 25, 2019, CUG held 2019 Commencement for its more than 6,200 students from class of 2019 on West Campus. The CUG leadership, representatives from the faculty and staff, including members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and leaders from other organizations attended the event.
President WANG Yanxin delivered the keynote address at the event. He shared his understanding of relationship between greatness and ordinariness with the Class of 2019. He said that greatness resides in the mundane work we do; in order to pursue great dreams and causes, we need to start with daily tasks. He hoped that the students could understand the value of ordinariness and make extraordinary achievements in ordinary work posts. At last, he wished the Class of 2019 a promising future.
