CUG held the opening ceremony for the 2025 cohort of its College for Elite Engineers on September 29.
Attendees included CUG leaders, representatives of enterprises and faculty members, and all new students.
CUG President LI Jianwei emphasized the importance of cultivating outstanding engineers. He urged students to shift from pure theory to hands-on problem-solving, leveraging dual mentorship and enterprise immersion.
Executive Dean ZHOU Jianwei outlined plans to collaborate with industry leaders to rebuild the training system, aiming to establish a high-level engineering talent base by 2030.
Enterprise representative TAO Zhiyong highlighted successful prior collaboration and pledged continued support for student innovation.
