2025 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology Kicks off in Wuhan

The 2025 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (IEEE ICIT 2025) recently convened in Wuhan from March 26 to 28. Organized by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and hosted by CUG, the event attracted over 150 registered participants. A total of 227 research papers were submitted from 17 countries and regions, including Canada, Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Spain, Sweden, Finland, and Austria.

Prof. XIA Fan, Vice President of CUG, delivered the welcome address. He emphasized that industrial information technology serves as the cornerstone of modern industrial progress, driving transformative advancements in manufacturing, energy, transportation, and smart infrastructure. The conference featured critical topics such as intelligent and computer control systems, robotics, flexible manufacturing, and power electronics, providing a platform to showcase cutting-edge research and foster interdisciplinary breakthroughs bridging natural and social sciences.

The event included three specialized industrial forums: “Trends and Advances in Smart Manufacturing”, “Applications of Industrial Electronics in Mining and Geosciences”, and “Development Trends and Innovations in Smart Industrial Electronics”.

It was announced that the next installment, the 2026 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (IEEE ICIT 2026), will take place in Monterrey, Mexico, from March 4 to 6, 2026.
