In the 2021 National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest, CUG students won 2 national first prizes, 3 national second prizes, 6 provincial first prizes, 2 provincial second prizes, and 4 provincial third prizes.
The team made up by LIU Yang, WANG Kai, AN Yunhao, and the team made up by ZHOU Bao, WANG Jiajun, and JIA Hongjie won 2 national first prizes. They were all instructed by ZHAO Juan from the School of Automation.
In preparation for the contest, CUG selected outstanding students through a university-level contest at the end of 2020. Instructors from the School of Automation and the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information trained the students in person and online during holidays, weekends, and the summer vacation.
A total of 19,735 teams from 1,117 higher education institutions from the country participated in the contest. 322 teams won the national first prize and 790 teams won the national second prize; the ratios of the national first and second prize winners were 1.63% and 4% respectively.
The National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest, held every other year, is the largest and most influential contest in its field.
