The finals of the 5th National Petroleum Geology Competition was held from October 22 to 24, in which CUG pocketed 1 second prize, 4 third prizes, and an outstanding organization award.
WANG Zhen (instructor: TANG Daqing) won 1 second prize for graduates in the tectonic interpretation of seismic data; FENG Qian, ZHENG Xiaobo, ZUO Yanna, ZHOU Ziqiang, and LIU Shuaiqi (instructor: SHI Wanzhong, ZHU Hongtao, and WANG Ren) won 1 general third prize for graduates; LIU Enhao (instructor: JIANG Shu) won 1 third prize for graduates in phase analysis of sedimentation; LI Xiaoxiao and the team of seniors (instructor: XU Sihuang) won 2 third prizes for graduates and for undergraduates in comprehensive petroleum geological evaluation respectively.
Among the graduate and undergraduate participants from 15 universities nationwide, the competition gave out 3 special prizes, 30 first prizes, 36 second prizes, and 46 third prizes.
