CUG undertook the 4th National Young Scholar Symposium on Engineering Risk Analysis & Management from June 18 to 20. The Symposium was hosted by China Civil Engineering Society, and co-organized by Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China Three Gorges University, and Seismological Society of China. 95 experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Zhejiang University, Chongqing University and other 36 universities, institutions, and organizations attended the Symposium in person, while near 2,400 people attended through live streaming. Prof. GONG Wenping from the School of Engineering presided over the Symposium.

The attendees discussed over 10 topics of theory and methods of reliability, theory and methods of risk assessment, management and insurance of project risk, risk assessment and management of civil engineering and geotechnical engineering, and evaluation and prevention of engineering geological hazards.
