8 Male Students Sharing Dormitory All Become Master Students

In Room 421A of Residence Hall 60, all of the 8 males undergraduate students from the Department of Geological Engineering, School of Engineering, will study further for their master’s degrees. LIU Jiahao, DENG Yue, WANG Songxian, HE Mingjian, and ZHANG Enming obtained postgraduate recommendations from Tongji University, Harbin Institute of Technology, and CUG respectively. WANG Jiang, MO Jinjv, and LIN Jiyu passed the National Postgraduate Entrance Exam(NPEE) and were admitted to CUG and Guizhou University.


LIU Jiahao: Think and plan more to do better

Ranking second among the students of his year, LIU received postgraduate recommendation from Tongji University. He figures that you can do better if you think and plan more. As a member of the Student Union, he took advantage of fragments of time and balanced his studies and his work in the Student Union.


DENG Yue: Be the master of your own time

 

Ranking fifth among the students of his year, LIU received postgraduate recommendation from Harbin Institute of Technology. “Everyonehas his or her own learning methods and paces. The key is to make a reasonable schedule for yourself. Be the master of your own time,” he said.

 

WANG Songxian: A one-thousand-mile journey starts with the very first step

WANG will continue his studies in the Department of Civil Engineering at CUG. To him, after-class revision is the most important part of learning process. He is also interested in debate. In his first and second years at CUG, he participated in various debate competitions, and then, he started to train debate lovers.

 

HE Mingjian: Take firm steps

HE will continue his studies at CUG. He happened to be an assistant to a professor when he was a senior. Having joined many experiments, he found himself interested in scientific research. For the future, he always thinks that one should work backwards from the future while being down-to-earth.

 

ZHANG Enming: Keep working for bigger platforms

ZHANG will continue his studies in the Institute of Geological Survey of CUG. Unsatisfied with the limited knowledge he learned in the last four years, he regarded it necessary to study more to bring out the best of his talent on bigger platforms.He gave his words to the younger students: “Seize the moment; cherish people around you.”


WAN Jiang: Seize the day and be yourself

WAN Jiang will stay at CUG for another three years. Since childhood, he has loved badminton, and it is still a way for him to reduce stress at CUG. He is not in the same class of his 7 roommates, but still, he integrates himself with them.

 


MO Jinjv: Perseverance is a major key to success

 

 

MO Jinjv will study for another three years on the Nanwang Mountain Campus. At first he was a little confused about his future plans and tried to submit his CV to some employers. But eventually, under the influence of his roommates, he realized what he really wanted and focused on studying for the NPEE. His perseverance was a major key to his success. He appeals to the younger students to make plans for the future early. “Although regrets are inevitable,” says MO. “At least we can try to make them less.”

 


LIN Jiyu: Roommates drive me forward

 

LIN will continue his studies at Guizhou University. LIN loves team sports like soccer and basketball, and he is good at swimming. Sometimes, he teachers his roommates how to swimming, which is a way for him to get closer to everyone. He talked about the time when he studied for the NPEE, saying “I was really having a hard time. All my roommates were keeping progressing, so I felt much peer pressure. But it was also them that accompanied me and drove me forward.”


A group of like-minded friends in a cozy room, they all have a bright future.
