CUG has been authorized by the Ministry of Education to add 2 new undergraduate degrees in Emergency Management and Emergency Technology & Management. Up to now, CUG offers undergraduate degrees in 69 majors.
Emergency Management is an emerging major which integrates disciplines including management, information, engineering, and humanities. The major is geared toward helping future emergency management leaders develop various core competencies including: public administration, emergency decision-making, emergency recognition and assessment, communication, early warning, emergency response, and general emergency management. It prepares students to serve the national public security system and emergency industry.
Emergency Technology & Management is designed for students to gain knowledge and technical skills in coping with emergencies, disasters, and catastrophes in China.
