​Nineteenth Wuhan International Conference on E-business Held Online

The Nineteenth Wuhan International Conference on E-business (WHICEB 2020) was held online on July 5. It was organized by the School of Economic Management of CUG, the Center for International Cooperation on E-business of CUG, Alfred University, and Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University. Over 550 experts, scholars, and graduates from home and abroad joined the online conference.

The annual Wuhan International Conference on E-Business (WHICEB) is an affiliated conference of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) which covers e-business related topics. This conference aims at providing a platform for academics and practitioners to identify and explore the innovative initiatives, solutions and approaches to making the Internet a productive and efficient alternative for the new e-world.

WHICEB 2020 received 134 paper submissions from 7 countries and regions, and 61 scholars and graduates from 37 higher education institutions presented their research results online. The participants had workshops on 15 topic in 12 fields including “big data and analytics”, “cross-cultural e-commerce”, “digital technologies, digital transformation, and business value”, e-business strategy and online marketing”, and “artificial intelligence and new IS research”. One best paper and one nomination paper were chosen from the proceedings, and 18 selected papers will be recommended to some international academic journals.

Conference proceedings will be listed in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index-Science/Social Science & Humanities (CPCI-S or CPCI-SSH, the former Index toScientific & Technical Proceedings®, ISTP). The proceedings will also be available at AIS eLibrary. WHICEB 2020 received 7,600 submissions of different types from 26 countries in total.
