The Project of Prof. DING Huafeng’s team from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information won an Outstanding Innovation Award in the 2nd Hubei Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition for Staff (group of science, culture, health, and sports).
The project was “A New Type of Hydraulic Face-shovel Excavator”. As the first of its type in China, it is a technological renovation for coal mining.
Hubei Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition for Staff is hosted by the Hubei Trade Union. This year, there were over 3,500 entries from all over the province to compete for 10 Entrepreneurship Awards, 10 Innovation Awards, 10 Outstanding Entrepreneurship Awards, and 10 Outstanding Innovation Awards.
