Nearly 10,000 incoming CUG students were welcomed during the Orientation, held September 2–3.
The Nanwang Mountain Campus and Future City Campus were bustling with activity. Faces full of youthful vigor embarked on a new journey with the loving gazes of family and friends.
The new student sarrived at the campuses by exclusive shuttle service and officially became CUG members after registration.
A large spinning wheel, a signature wall, small gifts…Though the sun was blazing, there was a happy vibe in the air. Hugs, smiles, and moments captured in photos-everyone treasured these priceless memories at the registration desks atall schools.
During the Orientation, three new students celebrated their birthdays. The staff specially prepared birthday cards and cakes for them.
In order to learn more about the new students’ dietary preferences, living conditions, interests and hobbies, and first impressions of CUG, school administrators struck up pleasant talks with the new students and their families.
Approximately 200 teacher and student volunteers greeted and assisted new students at Wuhan’s three railway stations as well as Tianhe International Airport on September 2 and 3.
The student volunteers, logistics staff, and security personnel all over thecampus offered new students considerate assistance. Everyone worked tirelessly to manage traffic, relocate luggage, assist new students with the registration and check-in processes, and help them become acquainted with the campus.
In the sweltering summer heat, CUG served new students and their families who had just arrived on campus four types of refreshing drinks: purified drinking water, Chinese mung bean soup, plum juice, and lemonade. During the Orientation, these drinks were available in an unlimited supply.
Crossing mountains and seas, heading for the future. To the incoming class, CUG welcomes you from all over the world and hopes to grow alongside you in the years ahead.
