The 8th International Academic Conference on Energy Resource Systems Engineering took place in Wuhan from November 1-3. CUG co-hosted the event, with President LI Jianwei serving as the conference chair. The conference provided a platform for researchers, industry professionals, and business leaders from all around the world to share ideas and collaborate.
Prof.WANG Yanxin from CUG delivered invited reports, as did distinguished scholars and experts from around the world, including Honorary Prof. Karin Limburg from the State University of New York, Prof. YAN Yong, a member of the Royal Academy of Engineering and professor at the University of Kent, Prof. HE Guojun from the University of Hong Kong, and Prof. Michael Grubb from University College London.
The theme of the conference is “Balancing the Development of New Energy & Energy Resource Security”, which addresses the most pressing concerns in today’s energy sector. Twenty-two sessions including invited reports, parallel reports, group reports, and deans’ forums were organized.
This year’s conference had over 600 attendees from more than 80 higher education institutions and businesses. The conference not only encouraged the sharing and transformation of academic achievements in the field of energy resources, but also breathed fresh life into the development of global energy resource systems engineering. It plays a positive role in ensuring energy security, addressing global energy challenges, and promoting international exchanges and cooperation in the energy resources sector.
