According to the annoucement of China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Ministry of Education, CUG is selected as one of the fourth batch of members of the University Information Service Center for National Intellectual Property. CUG is also the only university of Hubei province that has been selected this time.
Since 2015, CUG has been providing IP information services such as patent search and analysis, and has opened courses of IP. In September of 2018, CUG established its IP information service center. In July of 2021, CUG joined the national IP information public service network.
