Oil & Gas Frontiers and Carbon Neutrality Symposium Held by CUG: Aiming at Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Goals

CUG held the Oil & Gas Frontiers and Carbon Neutrality Symposium both physically and online.

WANG Hua, Vice President of CUG, said that it is of significance that the experts and scholars share the latest achievements in oil & gas and geothermal exploration plus discuss new technologies and theories with the background of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.

ZOU Caineng, Chief Expert of New Energy of China National Petroleum Corporation, Prof. LIU Qingyou, President of Chengdu University of Technology, Prof. BAO Zhidong, Vice President of China University of Petroleum, Prof. XUE Yongan, CUG alumnus and Chief Geologist of Tianjin Branch of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, and Prof. ZHU Xiaohua, Vice President of Southwest Petroleum University delivered their speeches.

The symposium is one of the academic activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of CUG and more than 300 people participated in the symposium.
