According to the announcement of the National Natural Science Fund of China on September 8, 227 CUG projects will receive funds of 130.32 million RMB. The amount of projects is record-high, and the funding crosses 100 million RMB again.
Of the 227 projects, 3 are funded by the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, 4 are funded by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 7 are funded by the Key Program, 112 are funded by the General Program, and 101 are funded by the Young Scientist Fund.
The funded projects fall in 8 scientific departments, with 153 in the Department of Earth Sciences, 25 in the Department of Engineering & Materials Science, 14 in the Department of Information Sciences, 12 in the Department of Management Sciences, 6 in the Department of Mathematical & Physical Sciences, 1 in the Department of Life Sciences, and 1 in the Department of Interdisciplinary Sciences.
