CUG held the 17th Jewelry Design and Clothes Matching Contest on May 25. There were 9 teams, 50 collections, and thousands of pieces of jewelry and clothes showed on stage. The participants came from 12 schools, including international students from Pakistan and Tanzania. The models presented a runway show of jewelry design and clothes matching of elements such as ancient glaze, folding fans, ancient music, lanterns, traditional musical instruments, weaving, poetry, and calligraphy.

The Jewelry Design and Clothes Matching Contest is a brand cultural activity of Gemological Institute, and the design works in this contest have been on CCTV’s stage 3 times. This year coincides with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Gemological Institute, so the Institute held this event to celebrate its 30th anniversary as well as CUG’s 70th anniversary.
