In Damien’s speech, he said that China is building a global community of shared future and has put forward new visions for humans. Building a global community of shared future means that China is on the right way to make global economy more open, inclusive, balanced, and beneficial for all; it also shows that China is working for opening-up, strengthening global cooperation, and helping build an open world economy. He thought that as a platform for building a global community of shared future, the Belt and Road Initiative focuses on policy coordination, facilities connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration, and people-to-people bond, benefiting countries along the route and promoting global economic recovery. “The new era belongs to the new generation. Chinese and African youth should be energetic and responsible, making their contributions,” he said.
