CUG Students Grab 5 Gold Medals in 14th National Games

The 14th National Games opened in Xi’an on the evening of September 15. By September 22, CUG students have won 5 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals in sport climbing, badminton, and swimming.

On September 17, WANG Yilv won the mixed doubles championship, ZHANG Songye won the men’s team championship, and YAN Chenxue won the third place in the women’s team. On September 16, WANG Yilv and ZHENG Siwei won the third place in the men’s badminton doubles.

In the men’s 100-meter breaststroke final on September 20,YAN Zibei secured the gold medal with 59″03, and SUN Jiajun seconded him with 59″83. YAN Zibei, SUN Jiajun, and their teammates won the silver medal in the 4×200-meter men’s medley relay.

In the sport climbing events on September 21, NIU Di won the women’s speed climbing championship with a world record time of 6.74 seconds, PAN Yufei won the men’s all-around championship, and HUANG Dichong won the third place of the men’s all-around.
