The final of the 10th China Petroleum Engineering Design Competition was held online on June 13, and CUG students won 1 grand prize, 1 first prize, and 6 third prizes.
The team formed by KANG Yunqiu, HUANG Senxin, YAN Bingyang, and ZHAO Chen competed with other teams from 19 higher education institutions in a 5-hour quiz about the knowledge of petroleum engineering and petrochemistry. They stood out and won the grand prize.
The team formed by YANG Yang, LU Shengyu, WANG Yucheng, ZHANG Yu, and LUO Zhixiang won the first prize with their excellent entry and oral defense.
A total of 27 CUG teams formed by 87 students, among whom there were undergraduate students, master’s students, and doctoral students, participated in the Competition.
The China Petroleum Engineering Design Competition is organized by the Chinese National Committee for World Petroleum Council, the Chinese Petroleum Society, and the Chinese Petroleum Society of Education. With the Competition as a platform, CUG has found out a new way of educating students of petroleum engineering in a synthesis of competition, research, and study.
