
CUG held the International Conference on “Construction and Development of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor” from October 30 to 31, in which over 100 experts and scholars from China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and other countries along the routes of the Belt and Road took part.
The five key topics of the conference were: Research on Investment and Employment Growth along China-Pakistan Economic Corridor; Research on the Construction of Areas along China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Poverty Reduction; Research on Special Economic Zones and Industrial Development in Areas along China-Pakistan Economic Corridor; Research on China-Pakistan Educational Cooperation; Research on the Security and Development of Areas along China Pakistan Economic Corridor. International experts and scholars made keynote speeches. Also, a forum was specially created for young scholars from China and Pakistan.
The conference was jointly organized by China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Research Center, the School of Public Administration, the Silk Road Institute, the International Cooperation Office, the Office of Science and Technology Development, and Social Sciences Edition Journal of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan).
