National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) has announced the final decisions on the funding of 2020. 179 CUG projects are funded with a budget of 95.063 million yuan.
Of the 179 projects, 6 are funded as the Key Program, 3 are funded by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 97 are funded as the General Program, 70 are funded as the Young Scientists Fund, and 3 are funded as the International Cooperation and Exchange Project including Newton Advanced Fellowships.
The funded projects fall in 6 scientific departments, with 130 in the Department of Earth Sciences, 19 in the Department of Information Sciences, 13 in the Department of Engineering & Materials Science, 8 in the Department of Management Sciences, 5 in the Department of Mathematical & Physical Sciences, and 4 in the Department of Chemical Sciences.
