CUG Students Win Four Awards in 5th China College Students’ ‘Internet Plus’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

In the 5th China College Students’ ‘Internet Plus’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition which just came to a close in Zhejiang University, CUG students won 1 silver award and 3 bronze awards.

“Pioneer of green mineral fertilizer in ecological agriculture” won the silver award. The aim of the project was to solve the problem of controlling the selenium content in selenium-enriched products based on the team’s nutrient supplements of selenium-enriched soil.

“Leader of Water Purifiers” won the bronze award. The project focused on the subdivisions of materials for drinking water mineralization, yielding serialized products according to various usage scenarios as well as terminal products of water purification.

“Plant bionic in-situ remediation system of soil” won the bronze award. The project intended to develop a new technology of environment-friendly plant bionic remediation based on transpiration and through high-efficient absorbent materials and self-contained hydrodynamic systems, addressing the cadmium pollution of cultivated land with low cost.

“Industrial Internet of Things based on controllability and device monitoring” won the bronze award. The project provided fast, secure, stable, and extensible integrated solutions for the intellectualization and interconnectivity of traditional industrial equipment and instruments based on the wireless technology LoRa.

The competition lasted for 7 months. In preparation for the competition, CUG set up 803 projects and recommended 43 of them for the final round of Hubei Provincial Competition. Among the five gold-award-winning projects in the Hubei Provincial Competition, 4 were selected for the national final.
