On August 25, CUG officially opened the Future City Campus. The modern library, beautiful teaching buildings, and comfortable student housing, together with a vibrant outdoor landscape, make the Future City Campus a blend of nature and humanity as well as tradition and modern.
The Future City Campus covers an area of over 500,000 square kilometers. School of Materials Science and Chemistry, School of Environmental Studies, School of Geophysics and Geomatics, School of Computer Science, State Key Laboratory of Geological Processes and Mineral Resources, State Key Laboratory of Biogeology and Environmental Geology, and National Engineering Research Center of Geographic Information System will move into the Future City Campus in the following year and then over 10,000 teachers and students will work, learn, and live in it.
