CUG Wins 11 Awards in Hubei Provincial Competition of China “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for College Students

On July 31, CUG won 5 gold awards, 1 silver award, and 5 bronze awards in the final round of Hubei Provincial Competition of China “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for College Students, ranking third on the gold award table.

PENG Hao’s team from the School of Environmental Studies, WANG Xuemei’s team from the School of Geophysics & Geomatics, ZHANG Hongyu’s team and GUO Kegan’s team from the School of Earth Sciences, and CHEN Yiguang’s team from the School of Arts and Communication won 5 gold awards; LIU Ziyuan’s team from the Gemological Institute won a silver award; other 5 projects won 5 bronze awards.

156 projects from the universities around Hubei took part in the final round of Hubei Provincial Competition, striving for 60 gold awards and 96 silver awards. In the end, some of the awarded projects were selected for the national final.

CUG has attached great importance to the innovation and entrepreneurship of its students in recent years, with its work being recognized by the Ministry of Education and the National Intellectual Property Administration. In preparation for the competition, it set up 803 projects and recommended 48 of them for the final round of Hubei Provincial Competition.
