Five Teachers Re-elected as Worldwide Highly Cited Researchers

(By Correspondent Zhang Yunshu) Thomson Reuters recently revealed the names of worldwide highly cited researchers in 2015. In the field of Earth sciences, Academician Gao Shan and Professor Wu Yuanbao from School of Earth Sciences were re-elected. Professor Wu Min, Professor He Yong and Professor She Jinhua from School of Automation were also elected again in engineering area.

Worldwide highly cited researchers announced this time covers 21 scientific disciplines including Earth sciences and engineering science. Among 2975 elected researchers, 148 are Chinese, including those from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. 11 Chinese researchers were selected in the field of Earth Sciences and 26 in engineering area.

The reputation of highly cited researcher signifies worldwide decisive influence of the research and his team in his research field. Currently the annual lists of highly cited researchers released by Thomson Reuters in 2014 and 2015 and by Elsevier in 2014 have attracted major attention.
