(Reporter Liu Hui) Recently, 100 outstanding persons were elected into the group with the potential impact of the Nobel Prize, among which Ma Yongsheng, engineer of Chinese Academy and China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) was the member.
Ma Yongsheng, born in Inner Mongoli in September 1961, studied at Geological Institute of CUG (Wuhan) and received a master's degree during 1980-1987. Now he is professor and doctoral tutor of Earth and Space Sciences in Peking University. It was learned that Ma Yongsheng was elected as academician with the first in score among all the graduates of CUG.
In July this year, the first batch of outstanding talent and technological innovation leading talent and young talents finalists was to the public. Among them, five people were academicians, and Ma Yongsheng was the only selected candidate of engineers of Chinese Academy.
