CUG Two Students Were Selected for the Climbing in World Youth Championship

It was informed on the May 6th that two students of my school, Chen Ruizhi and Jiang Rong, were finalist as respectively first results in Men's Junior and Women's Junior. They would participate in the World Youth climbing Championships which would be held Canada on August 16th.

Chen Ruizhi,a 19-year-old freshman ,was a student majoring in Law Public Administration School. He climbed the 15-meter-high rock faces in 8.1 seconds; Jiang Rong, a physical education freshman, won the 2012 National Women rock climbing championship finals and currently she is training in Beijing.

It was reported that the trials were divided into male and female youth group, Juvenile A and juvenile B groups. They consisted of difficult competition and speed race, and the cumulative scores first players in the two projects were selected Climbing World Youth Championship. The Championships started in 1922, and it was held annually; its influence was just after the World Championships and World Cup. On behalf of the Chinese team, Chen Ruizhi ,Jiang Rong and other 8 players took part in the competition.
